Make cybersecurity practical, interactive and relevant to students' everyday digital lives.
KYBERLAB is a complete 63-page interactive cybersecurity resource designed primarily for lower secondary students. Instead of simply reading rules about online safety, students actively investigate risks, analyse suspicious situations, make decisions, match responses, work with cards and complete hands-on self-checking activities.
The resource contains 8 interactive stations, each available in both a Basic and an Advanced Variant, making it easy to differentiate according to students' age, experience and ability.
Students explore key areas of digital safety including:
passwords and multi-factor authentication
phishing and suspicious messages
personal information and privacy
safe photo and social media sharing
public Wi-Fi and fake hotspots
app permissions
safe responses to online problems, threats and fake profiles
data backup, cloud storage and version history
Activities include visual risk detection, card sorting, phishing analysis, editing a social media post, a decision maze, permission settings, string-matching tasks and backup challenges.
Most activities include a self-checking element, allowing students to review and correct their own work.
The resource includes both student materials and teacher support, including teacher guidance, preparation instructions, answer sheets, Basic and Advanced versions, final reflection activities, My Cyber Shield and a student record sheet.
KYBERLAB can be used as a complete rotating-stations lesson, across several lessons, as a cybersecurity project, for online safety education, digital citizenship lessons, Safer Internet Day or as revision.
Suitable for: Computing, ICT, Digital Literacy, Online Safety, Cybersecurity and PSHE-related digital safety lessons.
Print, prepare the interactive elements and let your students enter KYBERLAB!
