Rather than simply memorizing first aid procedures, students work through realistic situations in which they must assess the scene, identify life-threatening problems, set priorities, call for appropriate help, respond to changes in condition, and work effectively as a team.
The missions gradually move from basic scene assessment and calling for help to more complex situations involving severe bleeding, trauma, unconsciousness, CPR, AED use, choking, stroke warning signs, chest pain, breathing difficulties, severe allergic reactions, seizures, and multi-casualty scenarios.
A key feature of the resource is the use of NEW INFORMATION and changing conditions. Students may make an initial decision and then receive new information that requires them to reconsider their plan. This helps them understand that first aid is not just about memorizing a fixed sequence — it is about continually reassessing the situation.
What’s included:
30 standalone First Aid Mini-Missions
complete answer key / solutions
5 thematic blocks with 6 missions each
Most missions take approximately 5–15 minutes and can be used independently. Teachers can choose individual cards according to the lesson topic, available time, class level, or desired difficulty.
The activities work well for health education, science, PE, advisory, homeroom, life skills, emergency preparedness, first aid awareness, stations, pair work, group challenges, warm-ups, review, or enrichment.
The resource focuses on safe decision-making and recognizing priorities, not on making medical diagnoses. It is intended for classroom instruction and does not replace hands-on first aid training.
Students do not just learn what to do — they learn how to decide what to do first.
